Uganda Wildlife Education Center ( UWEC)

Taking an excursion to the Uganda Wildlife Education center former Entebbe Zoo is fantastic. You get to see a summary of almost all the content of Uganda National parks. They are kept in exhibits with environment similar to that in the wilderness.

Sabyinyo locally means old man’s teeth, this is because of the weathered rim of the initial mountain Sabyinyo that created a ring of stubby peaks. The corners of the three neighboring countries that is Uganda, Rwanda and D.R.Congo converge at the summit of this mountain.

Gahinga Mountain

In local terms, Gahinga means small piles of stones. This was because of the scattered stones that used to come from the mountain and cover local people’s gardens. You go through bamboo forest into lush swamp in the crater summit.
