Our 4 Day Queen Elizabeth Wildlife and Chimp trekking safari is specially designed for those who have less time to spend in Uganda but would love to enjoy Game drives, Scenic views, Chimpanzee trekking as well as boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Queen Elizabeth National Park located in western Uganda is one of the few incredible National Parks in Eastern Africa for game viewing, boat cruises, Chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura gorge, and nature walks. This 4 Day Queen Elizabeth Wildlife and Chimpanzee Safari starts and ends in Entebbe or Kampala. But, it can also be organized to start from any other (small) towns in Uganda. It give you an opportunity to trek Chimps in Kyambura gorge as you enjoy the beauty that the northern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park offers.

Detailed Itinerary
Arrival
- You’ll be picked up from the airport (or hotel)

Day 1: Start your 4 Day Queen Elizabeth Wildlife and Chimp trekking safari
You will be picked up from your lodge early in morning to drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The Encounter Africa Safari guide will first brief you on what to expect, the drive time and to ensure that you have the right gear for your 4 Day Queen Elizabeth wildlife and chimp trekking safari. This journey will take you through small towns along Kampala-Mbarara highway. You will have an opportunity to see Royal drum makers along the way and small markets. You will have a stop at the Equator crossing in Kasyabwe to stretch and take some photographs. Lunch will be served en route and then you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a short relaxation and an evening game drive if time allows.
Drive time: Approximately 6-7 hours

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon Kazinga Boat cruise
After an early morning cup of coffee or tea, you will drive to Kasenyi plains for your game drive. Kasenyi plains boost of several wild animal species. On a good day, you may spot several herds of buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, and warthogs and big cats like lions and leopards that could be hunting. You will return to the lodge for lunch and then drive to Mweya peninsular for a two hour boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. The Kazinga channel has the highest concentration of Hippos in the whole world, with over 400 species of water birds. Since this is the place where most animals converge to drink water, you will have high chances of spotting hippos, birds, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles and so much more. Retire to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura
After breakfast, you will drive to Kasenyi plains for yet another game drive to try and find some of the animals and exciting moments that you could have missed during your previous game drives. Drive back to the Lodge for lunch and then proceed to Kyambura gorge in the afternoon for briefing and then a Chimpanzee walk in the gorge. Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge can be little bit strenuous and a certain level of fitness is required. When you find the Chimps, you will spend one hour with them before you retire to your lodge for Dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Drive back to Kampala/Entebbe International Airport
After breakfast and at your leisure, drive back to Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight out of Uganda.

STANDARD: 4X4 SAFARI VAN
Our standard mode of transport is by road and we use 4×4 Safari Vans customized for game viewing and photography. Each safari van comes with a professionally trained driver guide and fuel for the whole safari. Our Safari vans have viewing hatches and each client is entitled to a window seat. Our Vans can take up to eight people. We also have 4×4 Super Customs very comfortable and stable on the road. These carry up to 5 people with their luggage. We also have 4×4 RAV 4 for a group of two people
UPGRADE: 4X4 LUXURY SAFARI LANDCRUISER
We have luxury latest Land cruisers each driven by professionally trained driver guides and fuel. They have pop-up roofs for proper game viewing and photography. They come with a small fridge for cooling your drinking water while on safari (which is always included while IN THE VEHICLE). They have inverters for charging small gadgets such as your smartphones and cameras. They can seat five to a maximum of seven people and each client is guaranteed of a window seat.
