How to reschedule gorilla habituation experience permits

For one reason or the other, you may choose to reschedule your gorilla habituation permit and put it on a new date. One of the reasons could be sickness or change of program due to work. For us to assist you on how to reschedule your gorilla habituation permit, you will have to send us an email detailing why you want to change your permit to a new date. We will then forward this to Uganda Wildlife Authority and request for a reschedule. Terms of rescheduling gorilla habituation experience permits

Gorilla habituation experience permits can only be rescheduled once. Uganda wildlife Authority allows you to move your four-hour gorilla trek permit once. Should you after changing date decide that you can not make it, you will have to lose the permit. The only option available for you is to resell it. If you book your permit with Encounter Africa safaris and you are unable to trek, we will try to resell it to our fellow tour operators and if by luck someone buys it, we will refund you the money for your permit. There is no guarantee that someone will buy your gorilla permit.

Gorilla habituation permits can only be rescheduled at least two weeks before the actual trek date. Anything done outside the above may be refused or a certain fee charged. Should you have a change of mind about the date of trekking, kindly inform Encounter Africa safaris before two weeks and we will assist in rescheduling your gorilla permit.

Further note that no fee is charged to reschedule your gorilla permit when done before two weeks to trekking. A fee can actually be requested if one wants to reschedule permits that have been printed and cards issued. At the moment UWA charges $20 Dollars to do such. A gorilla habituation experience permits costs a hooping $1500 for foreign non-residents, $1000 for foreign residents and Shillings 750,000 for East African citizens. The price of the permit includes four hours with mountain gorillas, services of rangers and tourism police for security. Informative talk and escorted journey in the forest by ranger guides and experts in gorilla habituation experience, a certificate as well as conservation fee. This permit excludes transport to and from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park as well as accommodation in Bwindi. Entebbe or Kigali international Airport

Please note that the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park can be easily accessed via Kigali international airport and as such, Encounter Africa safaris operates Bwindi gorilla habituation experience safaris starting and ending in Kigali. By booking this, you end up driving 4-5 hours instead of 8-10 hours from Entebbe to Bwindi.
