What is the best time for chimpanzee trekking in Gishwati-Mukura National Park?
Gishwati-Mukura National Park can be visited throughout the year to trek chimpanzees, but the rainy months from October to May are the best for trekking and sighting chimpanzees in the park this is because food is readily available for Chimpanzees which discourages them from moving further distances to search for food making their sightseeing easy. However, during this period, the trails are slippery and hiking through the forest is not as easy during the dry season.
