Gorilla Permit and Family
The gorilla permit that you are to purchase will determine the gorilla family/group you will trekk. In the case of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, there four regions. Buhoma, Nkuriongo, Ruhija and Rushaga.
Three gorilla families can be trekked from Rushaga and these are Nshogi, Kahungye and Mishaya. Buhoma section of Bwindi has two gorilla families and that is Rushegura and Mubare. Ruhija has Bitukura, Oruzogo and then Habinyanja. Nkuringo has Nkuringo gorilla Family.
Gorilla Lodges per Region
Having known the gorilla group or family, we then advise the following lodges which are categorized depending on whether you prefer upmarket, midrange or economy accommodation.
Gorilla Lodges in Buhoma
