Encounter Africa team is going to Kidepo National Park to document and bring to you all latest information about new developments in terms of tourist attractions, new and old lodges, security status, drive time plus nature of the roads. Encounter Africa safaris has been and is still number one tour operator for gorilla trekking in Uganda and Rwanda but as the company grows, we are looking at providing many options in Uganda and Rwanda from where our clients can visit on top of visiting the rare mountain gorillas. This familiarization trip will take place between 17th and 21st March 2016 and will start from Entebbe to Kitgum, from Kitgum to Kidepo National Park for two nights and then to Pianupe Game reserve. From Pianupe, the team will visit Mbale which is home to mountain Rwenzori and then to Jinja and back to Entebbe.

Encounter Africa safaris expects to take as many photographs and videos of tourist attractions, roads, lodges, which will be put on our website. With the construction of roads accessing Kidepo National Park almost complete, the drive time from Entebbe to the pack has reduced and we feel that this is a plus for those who want to visit Kidepo National Park which was sometime back voted as the best national park in Africa. Other hindrances of visiting Kidepo National Park included tribal crushes between the Karamajongo and Itesots but that is history since government stopped this.

Encounter Africa safaris is also trying to see how best we can combine Murchison Falls national park for chimpanzee trekking in Budongo, boat cruises on the nile, game drives in Paraa with Kidepo national Park, pianupe game reserve as well as Mountain Elgon and Jinja source of the nile.
