Gorilla trackers/advanced team/rangers use many signs and methods to trace these gorillas before gorilla trekking takes place, the trackers wakeup very early every morning and go to the forest in search for these mountain gorillas. They use natural means to track them like clapping, making wild sounds. Once they find them, then they will communicate to the park headquarters and it’s then the guides after briefing the visitors on dos and don’ts, they will start to walk and trek in the forest as they are directed by the trackers. This gives you 99% chances of seeing the gorillas in their natural environment in either Nkuringo, Buhoma, Rushaga or Ruhija gorilla regions. The trekking starts with briefing at the Park headquarters with dos and don’ts while on the trek, visitors are later allowed to start the walk to the forest until they find the chimps, guides and Park rangers always ensure the safety of the clients while in the forest.  The chimpanzee Trekking permit is very essential to those interested to see the chimpanzees that are already used to people and only allows one hour of viewing and staying with the chimpanzee once you find them. The Cost of Transportation is determined by the cost of transport choice, fuel, driver guide allowance, flight ticket and Vehicle hire for 5 days safari. There are daily Flights to Kibale National Park/ Bwindi which is the easiest means of transport to access the park which only takes you approximately 1hr 15minutes to get there. You can take a flight from Entebbe international Airport or Kajjansi into Kasese Airstrip/Kihihi/Kisoro Airstrip, the flight costs range from USD273 per adult.

You can as well have a road trip to Kibale National Park and Bwindi for 5 days gorilla and chimpanzee safari, it is approximately 5 hours’ drive from Entebbe/Kampala to Kibale National Park and approximately 8-9 hours from Kampala to Bwindi and you will do a round trip without backtracking.
