Booking Uganda and Rwanda gorilla permits

When contacted, Encounter Africa safaris will check availability of gorilla permits available in all sections of Bwindi impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga National Park (for Uganda) and Volcanoes National Park in case of Rwanda. Once we have checked and found that there is availability, we will reserve these permits for up to 5 working days, invoice you, and once payment is made, we will go ahead to secure your gorilla permits. We will then send you scanned copies for your records and perusal.

For the case of Bwindi Impenetrable National park that has four sections of the forest, you may end up trekking gorillas or a given region depending on availability of permits. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park has four sections which include Rushija in the east, Rushaga and Nkuringo in the south while Buhoma is in the north. Each of these regions has its starting point and gorilla families that live in these regions. Gorilla permits booked for you will determine the lodge in which you will be booked. If for example, we get gorilla permits for Rushija, you will be booked in lodges located in Ruhija section of Bwindi impenetrable National Park. All sections of Bwindi impenetrable National Park have the budget, mid-range as well as High-end accommodation properties for you to choose from. All we need to know is your interest and budget, and we will advise the best accommodation for your stay.

Lodges per region depending on your Budget and Interest.

Encounter Africa safaris works closely with selected lodges in every region of Bwindi impenetrable national Park to make sure that your budget and interests are catered for. If we book gorilla permits for Rushaga or Nkuringo, we usually recommend staying at Rushaga Gorilla Haven Lodge (Budget), Rushaga Gorilla Camp (Mid-range) and Nkuringo Mountain gorilla Lodge or Clouds mountain gorilla Lodge for the high end. Buhoma in the north has many options for mid-range and High end but lack budget options. For budget options we have Buhoma community Rest camp, Mid Range we have Silverback Lodge. At the same time, Buhoma Lodge, Mahogany Springs, Bwindi Volcanoes Lodge, Gorilla Sanctuary and many others are high-end properties. For Rushija in the east, we recommend Trekkers Tervan, Broad Bill Forest Camp and Bakiga Lodge, among others.

Most of the lodges that we use serve three-course meals have private bathrooms and offer WI FI in public areas. They are located closer to gorilla trekking starting points enabling you to arrive in time for the briefing.
