Trying out Gorilla Habituation experience on Easter day
Apart from the standard gorilla trekking which lasts for one hour, Uganda offers gorilla habituation holidays and excursions in the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Gorilla habituation experience allows you to spend up to four hours with mountain gorillas under habituation. A maximum of four people are allowed to visit one gorilla group. There are currently two gorilla groups in the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla habituation meaning that eight gorilla habituation permits are available daily for this excursion.
A gorilla habituation experience permit costs $1500.00 per person for foreign non-residents, $1000 for foreign residents with a work permit, and Ugx750,000 for East African citizens in Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, Burundi, and South Sudan.
