Overview

The 10 day safari can be done by those interested in game especially the big five and the cats. While on 10 day Kenya Safari and primates, one can be able to visit Aberdare, Samburu National reserve, Lake Nakuru National Park, Masai Mara game reserve and Mgahinga National Park. Activities include game drives, cultural encounters and bird watching, mountain Gorilla tracing and golden monkey tracking

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Aberdare for evening game drive (Approx 6-7hours)

Today, you will drive to Aberdare National Park, lunch at Aberdare country club and later for an afternoon game drive. The park provides a habitat for elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, buffalos, warthogs and bushbucks among others. 

Rare sightings include those of the Giant Forest hog, bongo, golden cat, serval cat, African wild cat, African civet cat and the blue duiker.

Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Samburu National Park( Approx

After breakfast, proceed morning game drive and you will transfer to Samburu having enroute lunch and arriving the park later fro evening game drive.

Day 3: Game drive in Samburu national reserve a chance to spot wildlife especially Samburu’s special

Today, you will have a morning game drive. The reserve is popular with minimum 900 elephants and is rich in wildlife with fame for abundance in rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx (Also referred as Samburu Special). Visit the community of samburu for cultural experience.

Day 4: Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park

Early breakfast then check out and leave Samburu National via Nyahururu waterfalls to Nakuru Town. Have Lunch and proceed for afternoon game drive at Lake Nakuru(We have to make a stop over as we cannot manage to drive from Samburu direct to Maasai mara.

Lake Nakuru is Kenya’s most visited National Park. Located 160km and 2½ hours from Nairobi, the park is an important Ramsar site and home to thousands of different bird species.

The 188sq km Lake Nakuru is the only KWS-administered reserve that is fully enclosed. Once just a bird sanctuary, Lake Nakuru is now the best place in Kenya to see the highly protected black and white rhino. Among other animals found in the park include rhino, lion, leopard, flamingos, Egyptian geese, waterbuck, giraffe, hyena, buffalo, baboons, vervet monkeys, gazelles.

Day 5: Leave Nakuru and transfer to Masai Mara

After breakfast at the hotel check out and leave Nakuru region for Maasai mara,you will see Lake Elementaita ,Lake Naivasha and Mt.Longonot on the way before you arrive at View Point. You will have lunch at Narok town. Proceed to the game reserve, check in followed by afternoon game drive for at least 3 hours. This game drive will be done till sunset.

Day 6: Full Day Masai Mara-Morning and evening game drives in the reserve

Today, you will do full day game drive in this spectacular reserve. The Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone, also called The Great Migration, involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November.

 

Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason a visitor is almost assured to see the Big Five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino) in the Mara.

Day 7: Transfer to Entebbe via Kisumu and overnight in Entebbe.

Today you will drive to the airstrip for a flight to Entebbe via Kisumu and overnight in Entebbe. Arriving Bwindi later in the evening for dinner and overnight

Day 8: Domestic flight to Kisoro, canoe and community walk

After early breakfast drive to Entebbe International airport for scheduled flight flights to Kisoro arriving very early. Check in, relax at the lodge. Afternoon, go for a canoe on Lake Chahafi and Kayumbu combined with community walk. Return to the lodge in the evening for local community entertainment as you enjoy your dinner.

Day 9: Gorilla Tracking in Mgahinga National Park

After breakfast with you packed lunch, you will be driven to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla tracking. Gorilla family allocation depends on your fitness, interest and age. Please endeavor to communicate to your guide your interests so he can try and request for you a suitable group before you begin the trek into the forest.

 Proceed to the park to headquarters to join other clients for briefing and then to the forest to trek the gorillas. Once you find them, you are allowed one hour of photography and observation before returning back to the lodge. Gorilla tracking is/can be a tedious exercise and therefore requires a level of fitness but is an amazing experience of a life time.

Day 10: Golden Monkeys and drive to Kigali for your late evening flight out.

Track Golden Monkeys in the morning in Mgahinga National Park, return to the lodge for lunch and drive to Kigali for an evening arrival in time for your flight back home.

STANDARD: 4X4 SAFARI VAN

Our standard mode of transport is by road and we use 4×4 Safari Vans customized for game viewing and photography. Each safari van comes with a professionally trained driver guide and fuel for the whole safari. Our Safari vans have viewing hatches and each client is entitled to a window seat. Our Vans can take up to eight people. We also have 4×4 Super Customs very comfortable and stable on the road. These carry up to 5 people with their luggage. We also have 4×4 RAV 4 for a group of two people

Safari land cruiser

UPGRADE: 4X4 LUXURY SAFARI LANDCRUISER

We have luxury latest Land cruisers each driven by professionally trained driver guides and fuel. They have pop-up roofs for proper game viewing and photography. They come with a small fridge for cooling your drinking water while on safari (which is always included while IN THE VEHICLE). They have inverters for charging small gadgets such as your smartphones and cameras. They can seat five to a maximum of seven people and each client is guaranteed of a window seat.
