The normal chimpanzee habituation experience permit for Kibale National Park is currently $250 per person per trek. However, foreign residents in East Africa currently pay $200 per person per trek.

Kibale National Park lies in western Uganda, sharing the migration corridor of about 180 kilometers with Queen Elizabeth National Park from the Ishasha sector to the Sebitoli forest. This tropical rainforest is believed to host over 13 primate species, including chimpanzees, black and white colobus, vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, olive baboons, pottos, bush babies, and others.

Kibale National Park has two ranger stations: Kanyanchu Visitor Center as the main center and Sebitoli Forest Camp as the secondary tourism center.

Each day, flights from Entebbe Airport or Kajjansi Airstrip depart to Kasese, Airstrip from which you can catch a transfer vehicle to the park.

What Are The Dos And Don’ts Of Chimpanzee Habituation Experience?

- Upon finding the chimpanzees, keep 8 meters away from them, and even when they move closer, retreat slowly without recognition.
