The big birding day Uganda expo has postponed to November 2016-This has been revealed by the president of Uganda Tourism association while giving his closing remarks during the monthly tourism forum that brings together all tourism stakeholders from both the government, private sector and international community. This month’s tourism forum was held at Hotel African and sponsored by Uganda Tourism Board and Uganda Hotels association and was attended by both Government and private tourism big prayers

While thanking all people that turned up for this tourism forum. Mr Herbert Byaruhange who is at the same time the chairman of Uganda Safari Guides Association noted that while this big birding Uganda expo had been advertized domestically and internationally, they thought that its success was going to be affected by the visit of the pope to Uganda in the same month of Uganda. In order to avoid all this, the organizers have instead postponed this to November where he sighted that there will be even better organization than how it was going to be. He informed Tour operators, government stakeholder and all people present that this expo will be the one of its kind in the over 50 international travel writers will be invited, international and local tour operators will exhibit in order to show case what Uganda has to offer in terms of Birds

He ended his keynote speech by encouraging all stake and stockholders in Uganda’s tourism industry that Uganda was the best tourism destination in the whole world and that this was the time to have concerted efforts to develop the sector for the benefit of all us. Earlier on during the debate, many members had expressed dismay on how government is treating prayers in the tourism industry and how it needs to style up but the president had some words of encouragement on the way forward
