When looking for a safari company for our once in a lifetime trip in Uganda, my husband and I were a bit nervous. Being so far away, it was overwhelming to sift through all of the companies on the internet and eventually settle on one that we hoped we could trust and not overpay. Encounter Africa did not fail to deliver. Amos and Jerry were informative, patient and professional while helping us plan our trip from abroad. They were flexible in working with us to design a trip that was tailored to our wants/needs as well as our budget. Our tour guide Tolbert was experienced, knowledgeable and always made us feel welcome and safe. While on safari we saw many different types of animals, amazing landscapes and were able to stay in a variety of places of our choosing (hotels, camping, guest houses). We had the experience of a lifetime and would highly recommend Encounter Africa to any all. They will make sure you have a great trip on a friendly budget!

It was nice meeting you and your team, the trip went very well, the clients were very happy with the Uganda section (although the trek was quite difficult to some).
The standards of service witnessed was very high, Tolbert and Robert were excellent guides (same high standards as Kenyan/Tanzanian guides which was a surprise indeed). The vehicles were also in good shape (I know land cruisers extremely well).
All the accommodations were excellent, in fact they were beyond what the clients asked for, not to mention they serve so much food in Uganda! We were full all the time. .
As mentioned when we met, if you could just watch your high prices, then we can work together without a doubt, i will send you a document with our do’s and don’ts as far as our working together is concerned.

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. After I was dropped off in Kabale I went to Rwanda for a couple of days then back through Uganda and into Kenya. Now in Nairobi working for a charity. I have spoken to countless people since the gorillas and told them what a great time I had. It’s was ideal the trip, minimum hassle in booking and amazing scenery. You were very accommodating with picking me up in Rukungiri and dropping me in Kabale. I don’t think you should change anything!
