This 5 Day 4 Nights Mgahinga gorillas, golden monkeys & Bunyonyi safari will take you to Mgahinga National Park in South Western Uganda. Mgahinga National Park is the only park in Uganda where gorillas coexist with golden monkeys, hence the saying “ Gold meets silver”. At Encounter Africa Safaris, we organize safaris to Mgahinga National Park, and this 5 Day, 4 nights Mgahinga gorillas safari is good for those interested in trekking gorillas, participating in golden monkey trekking experience, and visiting Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest Lake in Uganda. This safari starts and ends in Entebbe.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Entebbe by your driver guide, who will first give you a short briefing about your trip to make sure you have all the necessary gear and paperwork. You will then begin your journey to Mgahinga National Park in Southwestern Uganda with a stopover at Mpambire royal drum makers to see how drums are made from skins and wood. You will proceed to the Equator crossing and then stop at Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara for lunch. After lunch, you will take a scenic drive to Kisoro district, starting with the flat lands of Ntungamo, and the rolling hills of Kabale, to the terraced hills and meandering roads to Kisoro District.
