3 Days and 2 Nights Queen Elizabeth Fly in safari

January 5, 2026

3 Days and 2 Nights Queen Elizabeth Fly in safari

This 3 Days and 2 Nights Queen Elizabeth Fly in safari is an efficient way to experience Uganda's abundant wildlife by avoiding long road transfers, with packages generally ranging from $800 to $3,000+ per person, depending on the level of accommodation. Domestic flights from Entebbe to airstrips within or near the park take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. This safari typically includes morning game drives in the Kasenyi plains and a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel.

  • Day 1: Flight from Entebbe to Kasese airstrip/Myeya airstrip and Evening Game Drive

    • Morning/Afternoon: Fly from Entebbe International Airport (EBB) or Kajjansi Airfield to Mweya or Kasese airstrips.
    • Afternoon: Transfer to your lodge, check in at the lodge, followed by hot lunch and relaxation.
    • Evening: Transfer for an evening game drive for the chances of spotting wildlife species
  • Day 2: Game Drives and Boat Safari on Kazinga channel

    • Morning: Early morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, antelopes and many more wildlife.
    • Afternoon: A two-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, offering excellent opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a wide variety of bird species.
  • Day 3: Optional Activity and Return Flight

    • Morning: You can opt to do a morning game drive to see more wildlife that you may have missed on the previous game drives
    • Late Morning/Afternoon: Transfer back to Kasese airstrip/Mweya airstrip for your domestic flight to Entebbe Airport

Accommodations

We have ranges of accommodation, which is typically full-board (all meals included) in fly-in packages. For instance, Luxury accommodations we highly recommend are: Kyambura Gorge Lodge, Elephant Plains Lodge. Mid-range accommodations include: Park View Lodge, Buffalo safari Lodge, Elephant Hub Lodge, Lake George View Lodge. Basic Lodges include Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge, Simba safari Camp, Enganzi Game Lodge, among others

These prices typically cover domestic flights, park fees, guided activities, and ground transfers, but generally exclude tips, drinks, and personal expenses. You can book flights directly with us; we use Aerolink Uganda or Pearl Sky.

What to pack

Given the savannah environment, proper gear is essential:

  • Clothing: Pack light shirts and trousers. A lightweight jacket in case of any rains
  • Gear: A daypack, binoculars, a camera with extra batteries, insect repellent with DEET, and a reusable water bottle are useful.
  • Health: Carry your yellow fever vaccination certificate.

Best time to go

The dry seasons, from Mid May to August and December to February, are generally considered the best time for this activity

  • Cons: These are peak seasons, you need to book in advance accommodations and flights tend to be fully booked quickly. It is recommended to book 6 to 12 months in advance.
  • Rainy season (March to May and October to November): Treks are more challenging due to muddy trails. However, there are fewer crowds, accommodation prices may be lower, and the scenery is lush and green
