3 Days 2 Nights Queen Elizabeth Safari
January 30, 2026
This 3 Days 2 Nights Queen Elizabeth Safari safari typically includes game drives, a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to see a variety of wildlife such as lions, elephants, buffaloes and hippos, and often chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge.
Game drives: Discover Ishasha sectors and Kasenyi, home to a variety of wildlife such as lions, elephants, leopards, antelopes and much more. The Ishasha sector is renowned for its tree climbing lions that are usually seen resting in fig trees.
Boat Safaris: Cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George, and experience exceptional views of aquatic animals such as hippos alongside a variety of birdlife.
Chimpanzee Trekking: As an optional activity, explore Kyambura Gorge to observe chimpanzees and other primate species such as red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus in their natural habitat.
Cultural tours: Visit the Katwe salt mines to learn about salt mining, or visit the nearby local community for cultural, local and agricultural insights.
Lion tracking experience: Join a group of researchers to track lions using locator devices. This allows you to learn about their behaviour and contribute to the research conservation.

The best time for wildlife viewing experiences is during the dry seasons: January to February and June to September. During these periods, animals congregate around water sources, and the less dense vegetation which makes them easier to spot during game drives. The wet seasons (March-May and October-November) offer lush, green scenery and are ideal for birdwatching, though roads can be muddy and slippery.
