Day 1: Drive from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

• Morning: You are picked up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi by Encounter Africa driver guide for the scenic drive to Amboseli, which is very enjoyable with stops on the way
• Afternoon: You will arrive at your lodge or tented camp for lunch in Amboseli. You will then head out for your first game drive, spotting wildlife on the open plains.
• Evening: Return to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.

• Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner

 Day 2: Full day in Amboseli National Park

• Morning: Wake up early for a sunrise game drive when wildlife is most active before it is hot. You may capture photos of elephants with the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro in the background.
• Mid-day: Visit Observation Hill, a high vantage point that offers a panoramic view of the park, including the swamps where animals often gather. You can also visit a local Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions.
• Afternoon: Go on another game drive, searching for predators and other animals. You will spend more time in the Park to spot more animals for a memorable experience
• Evening: Enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening at your camp or lodge.

Day 3: Amboseli to Nairobi

• Morning: After breakfast, you will bid farewell to the hotel and embark on a final, shorter game drive to catch any last wildlife sightings
• Mid-day: you will have stops on the way to get souvenirs as you drive back to Nairobi, concluding your safari.
• Meal Plan: Breakfast.

• Elephant herds: Amboseli National Park is popular for its large population of elephants with big tusks, which can be seen in and around the park's marshes.
• Wildlife viewing: you will experience wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and various bird species. Be ready to capture all the beautiful photos.
• Mount Kilimanjaro views: Amboseli offers some of the most iconic and dramatic views of Africa's highest peak, especially during the dry season because of the clear weather.
• Maasai culture: An optional visit to a Maasai village offers interesting traditional way of life of the local people. You will experience Dance, traditions and way of Life of the Masai.

What to pack

• Clothing: Ensure to pack light wear, long-sleeved neutral colored trousers and shirts to protect you against insects and the sun. Also carry  a jacket for cold mornings and evenings.
• Footwear:  Sturdy sneakers are highly recommended. Make sure that the shoes are comfortable.
• Gear: Carry a camera with extra batteries and memory card, binoculars for easy viewing of wildlife, reusable water bottle and sunscreen.
• Essentials: Ensure to carry your travel documents like your passport and other personal items.
• Important note: Kenya does not allow use of plastic bags so be sure to leave those behind.
