Uganda Wildlife Authority remains committed to conserving for generations and making Uganda tourism affordable by launching yet another exciting promotion for 2016 and 2017. These 2016 and 2017 low season gorilla and chimp permit discounts were launched on Tuesday, 28th July 2015 at Hotel Africana by the Director of tourism business and development at Uganda Wildlife Authority who represented the Executive Director.
The new costs/rates/price for 2016-2017 Low season gorilla and chimp permit discounts
Off season gorilla permits for 2016-17 has been adjust upwards from $350 to $450 compared to previous promotional discounts in 2013 up to 2015. This means that instead of saving $250.00 per gorilla permit, tourists will now save only $150.00 which is a great promotional discount. The above mentioned price/rate will apply to the traditional low or off season months of April, May and November 2016-17 where Uganda Wildlife Authority expects other stakeholders such as Hoteliers and Tour operators to slash costs such as accommodation, transport and meals to make Uganda an affordable tourism destination for the future. Low season promotional prices will apply to gorilla permits in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga National Park and not in Rwanda.
Exciting 2016-17 Low season chimp permit discounts for Kibale National Park
Uganda Wildlife authority has also decided to introduce low season promotional and discounted chimpanzee permits in Kibale National Park from $150.00 to $100.00 during off season months of April, May and November 2016-17. This will enable tourists to save up to $50 per chimpanzee permit booked and confirmed during off season months. This reduced price/rate/cost of kibale chimpanzee permits is expected to have an impact of tourist inflows to both Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla Park as well as Kibale National Park confirming Uganda as a true primate capital of Africa.
